Refreshed and produced the Spring 2026 edition of *The Competitive Edge*, a 12-page Workforce & Business Development newsletter distributed through Constant Contact and published on the program website.

Project Goal

Create a professional, easy-to-read newsletter that gathered approved success stories, program updates, event promotions, and calls to action into one public-facing publication.

Tools: Canva, Constant Contact, Wix

My Role

  • Updated and freshened up an inherited cover-page template.
  • Gathered approved success stories from coworkers and organized them in Canva.
  • Wrote the “Message from Director” on the cover page.
  • Wrote the full Quiktrip Transportation LLC article on page 3.
  • Wrote the full Double Dog Dari Bar article on page 5.
  • Adapted approved content into an article for the Car Repair Program section.
  • Designed both event flyers that appeared on pages 10 and 11.
  • Built the final page from the ground up as a refreshed social/web call-to-action page.
  • Used Constant Contact and Wix to send the newsletter and upload it for website viewers.

Process

  • Collected approved program/client content from coworkers.
  • Imported and arranged copy into Canva for readability and visual consistency.
  • Balanced long-form articles, success stories, flyers, and calls to action across a 12-page format.
  • Prepared the newsletter for public distribution through email and website channels.
